Fired UP! Ready to go!
I love this video.... It makes me smile and well, it FIRES ME UP!
I want to share a little story with you... and I'll try not to talk about Sarah Palin anymore.... unless provoked ......
So, I'm reading the LA Times story; about Palin/McCain Camps at Odds- this morning in my front yard... I was giggling to myself about it.
A little girl and her mother were walking by on the way to the girl's school, we said "hello" and I asked mom if I could ask the girl a question... something from the newspaper... etc.... Mom said, "Sure."
"Can you name three countries in the North American Free Trade Agreement?" I asked.
The third grade girl shrugged and said, "I don't know what that Trade Agreement thing is....... buuuuuut North America is Canada, United States and Mexico. Maybe Guatemala, but I think that's in Central America, so probably not that one, right?" I said, "Right! "
Since the third grader was so smart, I had to ask her one more question... "Is Africa a country?"
Third grader: "Mmmmmmmm... yeah. Wait... no... what's bigger than a country?"
I said, "you mean like a continent?"
She said, "yeah, it's a continent. There's other countries in Africa, like Kenya and places like that. I can't think of the other ones right now though."
Seriously... a third grader going to a public school here in L.A. could answer the questions better than Sarah Palin. I told the little girl, that she's smarter than Sarah Palin. And she (and her mother) laughed and said, "Really? I'm going to go tell my teacher... maybe she'll give me a better grade!"
I just had to share that.... I will try to promise -No more Palin talk from here on out... it's too easy!
Here's the paragraph from the story in the Times:
Fox News reported Wednesday that Palin's lack of knowledge on some topics also strained relations. Carl Cameron reported that campaign sources told him Palin had resisted coaching before her faltering Katie Couric interviews; she did not understand that Africa was a continent rather than a country; and could not name the three nations that are part of the North American Free Trade Agreement -- the United States, Canada and Mexico.
And one more thing:
The county in North Carolina that Sarah Palin announced that she was in "Real America"... Voted 59% for Obama! I'm just saying.......
