The Night Before Christmas at Abuelita's
(Grandma's, for you first and second generation of Pochos)
The gathering will start at 7PM, on the 24th of December. Here are a few things we will need to have a night filled with joy and recklessness. Wine, fruit plate, veggie plate, a shooting tequila - Reposado, dinner napkins and a dessert.
I'm going to make a spinach salad, you know, so we don't get plugged up with all of those tamales. If anyone else would like to bring a side, please feel free. I reckon something light would do the trick.
I'll be in charge of doling out the take home tamales this year. So, make sure you don't talk any smack about me to my face. Of course, the usual smack talking behind my back is totally acceptable, and expected.
